Het is relatief een nieuwkomer in de wereld van de architectuur. In hetzelfde era waarin de mobiele telefoon zich ontwikkelt van type \u2018Miamy Vice\u2019-baksteen via \u2018my first Nokia\u2019 naar de Smartphone, heeft het fietsparkeren zich ontwikkeld vanuit de schimmige nissenhut via de generatie stallingen 1.0 tot de high-end stallingen die op dit moment gebouwd worden.<\/p>\n<p>De kopgroep van het peloton wordt gevormd door de stationsstallingen, die de toon zetten en een nieuwe standaard ge\u00efntroduceerd hebben, zowel in smart techniek als in comfort en architectuur. Zij illustreren het specifieke en specialistische werkveld in de architectuur: Bicytecture. De fietsenstalling is meer en meer het hoogwaardige voorportaal van het openbaar vervoer en van hoogstedelijke voorzieningen. Nog een stap verder in de filosofie van studioSK ontwikkelt het fietsparkeren zich zelfs tot de icoondrager voor stationsgebieden, in de strategie van \u2018biking the station\u2019.
