Zo zal het stationsgebied een hoogwaardige entree voor de stad worden. De uitbreiding van de ondergrondse fietsenstalling is hierin een essentieel onderdeel. Hierdoor zal het maaiveld vrij komen van fietsers en brommers. De bestaande fietsenstalling wordt uitgebreid van 1.500 naar 3.000 fietsparkeerplaatsen en krijgt een nieuwe attractieve entree voor fietsers en voetgangers. Projectarchitect Rob Stringa heeft een lichte en ruime entree ontworpen waarin een luie brede trap toegang geeft tot de fietsenstalling.
