Op dinsdagavond 15 november werd in de Stadstimmertuinen bij het Weesperplein in Amsterdam een succesvolle en interactieve avond gehouden in het kader van Smart Cycle Futures. Van studioSK \u2013 Movares waren Nienke van de Lune en Simone Jorink aanwezig op deze avond voor \u2018fiets-experts\u2019 en hun innovatieve idee\u00ebn. Centraal stond het thema hoe via coproductie tussen allerlei partijen in steden beter nagedacht kan worden over stedelijke transitie \u2013 met de fiets als casus. De avond werd geleid door Groen Links Gemeenteraads lid Zeeger Ernsting en Marco te Br\u00f6mmelstroet (Urban Cycling Institute\/UvA).<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em>Niet alleen fietsparkeren en het beter benutten van fietsparkeerplekken kwamen langs, maar ook innovaties op het gebied van fietsdelen, e-bike to go en het invoeren van fietspaspoorten maakten onderdeel uit van de avond. Iris van der Horst en Vera van den Bos van de gemeente Amsterdam en Martijn Sargentini \u00a0van de Stadsregio lichtten hun toekomstbeelden over de fiets en het fietsbeleid toe. In het Meerjarenplan fiets wordt hun gezamenlijke beleid in februari 2017 prijsgegeven en deelopgaven, die met name betrekking hebben op fietsparkeren, tot uitvoering gebracht. Het Meerjarenplan geeft tevens een doorkijk naar 2030.<\/p>\n

Fietsvriendelijke stad
\n<\/strong>De ontwikkeling van een fietsvriendelijke stad met een dicht infrastructuurnetwerk vraagt om een integrale visie op openbare ruimte. Hoogwaardige fietsparkeer-oplossingen zijn te kostbaar om los te zien van een integraal stedelijk of zelfs regionaal fietsbeleid. De meest populaire plaatsen om fietsen te stallen zijn in elke stad de stedelijke hotspots en transfer locaties. Deze stedelijke knooppunten zijn favoriet en tegelijkertijd gevoelig voor congestie. Geparkeerde fietsen op maaiveld hebben een enorm ruimtebeslag en zijn een bedreiging voor de ruimtelijke kwaliteit en beleving van de openbare ruimte. Juist bij die hotspots is die openbare ruimte bij voorkeur hoogwaardig. Hier zien we dan ook de urgentie en de noodzaak om ruimte-intensief te stallen in bouwkundige voorzieningen. We denken hierbij aan een ondergrondse stalling, een fietsflat of een stalling ondergebracht in bestaand vastgoed of in combinatie met een (bestaande) parkeergarage (en op termijn vervanging auto door fiets). In verhouding zijn dit kostbare maar noodzakelijke oplossingen in de hoogstedelijke omgevingen in elke grote en middelgrote stad. In het (ontwerpend) onderzoek onderscheidt studioSK een achttal ruimtelijke typologie\u00ebn voor fietsparkeren.<\/p>\n

Onderzoek in praktijk<\/strong><\/p>\n

De ontwerpers van studioSK \/ Movares hebben in de afgelopen tien jaar ervaring opgedaan en onderzoek gedaan naar verschillende typologie\u00ebn van fietsparkeren. Voor elk type stalling ligt de focus op een goede stedenbouwkundige inpassing en koppeling aan het fietsnetwerk als vertrekpunt. Dit onderzoek vindt plaats terwijl tegelijkertijd ontworpen wordt aan concrete stallingslocaties. Er zijn tot nu toe een achttal typen onderscheiden, die ook allemaal uitgetest zijn in de praktijk. Illustratieve voorbeelden zijn de verdiepte Mahlerplein-stalling voor drieduizend fietsen aan de Amsterdamse Zuidas, het fietstransferium in fietsstad Houten, de fietsflat in Hengelo en de fietsparkeergarage in Leeuwarden.<\/p>\n
