Het viaduct Brusselplein is gelegen in de gigantische bouwput van het in aanbouw zijnde centrum Leidsche Rijn. De nieuwe stationsgevel aan de zuidzijde verklapt al iets van de post moderne allure die het Brusselplein gaat krijgen. De rijzige fa\u00e7ade van baksteen markeert de stationsentree en zet hiermee zijn footprint voor tenminste 100 jaar.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/studiosk.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2016\/11\/leidscherijn-1-1019x1024.jpg\" alt=\"leidscherijn-1\"><\/p>\n<p>Het 100 meter lange viaduct is opgebouwd uit een in situ dek met een fa\u00e7ade van prefab betonkolommen bekleed met baksteen en natuursteen. In het betonnen dek zijn sparingen opgenomen voor een warm houten plafond om de verblijfskwaliteit van het station te borgen. De fa\u00e7ade begeleid de route van het Brusselplein naar het hoger gelegen Berlijnplein, waar het busstation zal worden gerealiseerd. Het viaduct Brusselplein maakt onderdeel uit van een viertal kunstwerken in de Vleutensebaan die door StudioSK ontworpen zijn. Dit jaar gaat de Vleutensebaan nog in gebruik.
